E.P., DAYTON What's printed on the label of your beautiful draperies? If no label, deodorizing the fabric can be more than one test-cleaning method. Because, some smoky fabrics can contain soot, resin and mild acid. Some drapery fabric can't be spot-cleaned because of backing on the underside - cleaning can soften the backing. Even dry cleaning or washing can't remove all `thick' smoky odors. Ask about fabric deodorizers at a hardware store; read labels.
