How do I remove the headlight covers from a 1999 mitsubishi diamante for cleaning?
I believe that the covers are part of the headlight assembly, and they are not designed to be removed. It the headlight is yellow and causing the headlights to be ineffective, the yellowing forms on the outside of the lens. This can be repaired by wet sanding the lens. There are kits that are sold in most major auto parts stores with instruction and the sandpaper you need. You can also ask a local body or detail shop to do it for you … it is relatively cheap to get done. The lenses will look new and clear, minus any age damage that they may already have, and your headlights will give you considerably more light.
