Open the hoodHP print ink is accessible through a hood on the top front of the printer (it can also be located on the side). Once the hood is opened, the ink cartridges should move to the middle of the printer spool.Remove the ink cartridgesTo remove the ink that is currently in the printer, push down on the front of the cartridge with your thumb and the cartridge should snap free of the holder. Do the same for both the color and the black ink.Replace the cartridgesOpen up your new cartridge box and remove the tape from the cartridge contact on the back of the cartridge. Slide the cartridge in to the appropriate spot on the holder–with the cartridge contact toward the back–and then, with your fingers, lift up on the cartridge, snapping it in place.
