How do I replace the engine air filter on a 2005 Toyota Corolla?

It should be really simple (although I have never had a Corolla).I think the Toyota airboxes are big, square, black plastic, near front of engine bay on driver’s side. It should have either a few small screws mating the top and bottom of the airbox to unscrew and remove the top, or clips on the sides of the airbox. Once you have these removed, you can pull up the top cover. Be careful of the MAF sensor, and make sure you don’t crimp any wires or break the sensor. You should be able to see the air filter beow the top cover. Just slide this out, and pay careful attention to which side is up. Then put your new filter in exactly the way the old one was, and put the clips/screws back on/in. Good luck!
