How do i simplify fractions… i need serious help with that?
well fractions are basically just divisions that have not been performed all the way through, so in order to simplify fractions, you just divide them further for example, when you have a fraction such as 5/10, this is really the same as just 5 divided by 10, although you cannot perform this operation and get an integer, you can still partially divide it to do this, you need to look for common factors in both the numerator and the denominator, so in this case, both the numerator and the denominator have a factor of 5 so try looking at it like this: 5/10 = (5 x 1) / (5 x 2) since there is a five in bother the numerator and the denominator, you can divide them out, so you are left with 1/2
