I sympathise with you. I am not a nervous flier but I cannot sleep on planes no matter what I do….. the only time I ever slept I had nightmares! However I would recommend ear plugs and something to cover your eyes. If it is quieter and dark then I find it easier to doze. When my mum flies she takes diazepan, but only half a tablet. It calms her down and makes her a little dozy, she is terrified of flying and she suffers from restless leg syndrome as well. I would recommend visiting your doctor and getting some good advice from them. Please don’t drink lots of alcohol as some have suggested. This might help you sleep but you will feel terrible when you wake up. The air in the cabin will dehydrate you enough without the alcohol doing it as well. We managed to get seats right at the back, they were by the toilets but they reclined back further than most and we got some good rest on them. I think that I don’t sleep because I worry about snoring (hysterical when someone else nearby is doi
