How do I specify my friend Bill correctly in the Users list with an access level of 2?

(In the Tools/Remote/Users section..) You can add your friend Bill with access level 2 to the Users list in two ways: 1. Specifying the nick — “2:bill” and/or by… 2. Specifying the address — “2:bill!gates@pentium.company.com” Of course, specifying the address is the safer option. Wildcards are supported, such as “2:*!gates@pentium.company.com”. In which case all nicks bill could use on his account are recognized. To get the ON OP, ON DEOP, ON SERVEROP and ON NOTIFY events working you *have* to specify a person by his nick !! It won’t work if you specify his full address only… In the case of bill, you could use BOTH Users list lines mentioned above. You could just type the nick and/or address straight into the Users section under Tools/Remote but mIRC also has special commands to add people to your Users list straight from the command line. Look in the mIRC help for the commands /auser, /guser and /ruser. Return to the table of contents.
