How do i stop my husky puppy from pulling on the lead?
ive a husky at 14mths and had him from 11wks and he still pulls when out, it takes at least 10mins to calm him down enough to stop him pulling and when he is in harness ive no chance of stopping him pulling, try this, either get a short lead and walk him to hell, everytime he pulls give a sharp snap on the lead and say heel, i dont have to tug the lead now just say in a stern voice slowly and he will slow down, or give him a tap with your foot on his back leg, or the other thing mine likes is a flexi lead, the ones that extend and reel back in, he loves going out on that, gives him a bit of freedom aswell, just make sure its a good strong one, but in all fairness huskys are meant to pull, maybe try riding a bike with him jogging with you, and yes there is no need to shout at him, huskys dont take to physical correction, it wont matter where you walk him he will still find it interesting and full of different sounds and smells, try that and see how it goes if still having problems you c
