IMPORTANT: Follow the instructions in this section if one or more MSC/Patran Application Preferences are licensed (i.e., MS/Abaqus, MSC/Nastran, MSC/Fatigue or MSC/Patran FEA are licensed). All MSC/Patran Application Preferences, MSC/Fatigue and MSC/Patran FEA use Bourne shell script files to allow a user to submit analysis jobs to the solver from within MSC/Patran. (MSC/Patran DYNA only produces a DYNA input file.) You may need to edit the appropriate script files so your users can successfully submit the analysis jobs from MSC/Patran.
