How do i tell if ive got cavity wall insulation in my home.?
For the walls, I would remove the cover plate for a light switch or wall outlet on an exterior wall, and try to look alongside the receptacle box inside to see if I could see insulation. If by “loft” you mean the attic space – above the living area, but below the roof – then you’ll have to find an access point or hatch to get up there and look. But if you don’t feel comfortable doing that with your house, you may want to ask someone who’s more qualified or experienced to do it. I have no clue if those prices are good prices in the UK. I’m in the US.
