On the Blackberry home screen, scroll the wheel over an icon you do not use, hold the ALT key (to left of “z”) and then press the menu/wheel to invoke the selected icon menu, and choose Hide Icon. The icon disappears from the home screen. You can later choose Show All to show all hidden icons. If you want to put the icon back, while Show All is checked, move over the hidden icon and press ALT and the menu/wheel and then uncheck the Hide Icon choice.
