Otherwise, installing a new version of windows shouldn’t uninstall your other programs.

This is kooky, but Media Center is actually Windows XP Professional with Media Center applications added. I think they may have hobbled some of the the domain capabilities, but other thatn that, Media center IS XP. And don’t let the difference in price you get charged for XP fool you! CAVEAT! My experience is with Media Cendter 2004. I was an early adopter. And I don’t run it in a domain.
