First you will need to have installed the Google Earth 5.0 application on your computer. Google Earth 5.0 is available as a free download here. Next, download the Gallipoli: The First Day layer. When you open the file the ABC’s Gallipoli layer should automatically open in the Google Earth application and you can start viewing content. TIPS: > Turn on lighting effects: try viewing the content with the Google Earth time slider feature, which will indicate the time of day on the map using lighting effects. To do this, first click the “sun” icon in the top navigation bar of Google Earth to activate the time slider (which will appear in the top left of the map). Next, rollover the slider and click the “spanner” icon in the top right. In the options for displaying time select “UTC” and click ok.
