Typically, teams can range anywhere from one (in a singles league) to five people. You can join with a full team already put together, or alone and let the league put you in with a team. USBC-sanctioned leagues will have you pay a sanction fee of about $20 to begin the season. Each week, you will pay a certain amount for the league. This amount covers the actual bowling, as well as the prize fund if any. Then, you bowl. There are many different types of point systems, and I won't get into the variations because there are so many of them.
