How do men deal with their wives going through menopause?
It’s important to realize, too, that not ALL women going through menopause lose their sex drive. I sure haven’t!! Some of the most recent research shows that, in most cases, if a woman really enjoyed sex in her younger years, she continues to enjoy sex in later life, including after menopause. As a divorced woman, I have been disillusioned to hear that many single men reject women my age out of hand without even getting to know us because they “know” we no longer have a sex drive. And the reality for me and many others is that we are very, very interested and would give anything to have a great guy in our beds! True, when going through menopause, there can be some temporary adjustments and ups and downs hormonally that cause sex to take a back seat sometimes. But it all smooths out again eventually, and on the other side of menopause there are many women who are quite receptive to men and continue to love sex.
