How do Oxford DRS sites handle accented characters in OpenURLs?
Oxford DRS titles use ‘flattened’ forms of accented characters in its OpenURLs: these in most cases are the characters concerned minus their accents, so, for example, ‘é’ becomes ‘e’. We do this to provide the simplest solution for resolvers interpreting these characters and interfacing with other systems (e.g. library catalogues).
