It’s very important in some people’s religious practices, in their rituals — especially at home. People will put various objects around to remind them of the promises that they’ve made to God, or to remind them of certain rituals that they’ve taken [part in], or people will purchase things if they have a special devotion to the saints or to Jesus and put those things in their homes and [with] their families. Other people will use them in more creative ways. People can collect objects. They can display them as humorous things. They can display them as nostalgia for having grown up in certain places.
