How do police feel about cop watch?
I was a cop for 13 years before going to law school. I don’t believe in police brutality, or excessive use of force, so I don’t have anything against cop watch. Too often however bystanders can misunderstand the use of force. Sometimes force is necessary and ‘edited video clips’ could make a police officer appear abusive when he wasn’t. Although abuse shouldn’t be tolerated, the public should realise that it’s a tough job and support the men and women that are sticking out their necks each day.
