A – The coverages in the Aetna Medicare Open Plan are designed to be as close as possible to the existing Aetna retiree plans. For example, physician services (non-preventive) are covered at 80 percent of allowable charges under both plans. In addition, the new plan offers certain enhanced benefits such as 100 percent coverage for preventive care, as well as many new programs and services such as Disease Management, MedQuery, Case Management, Health Risk Assessment.
