It functions as an international settlement court to help bring closer to disputes or issues that the nations could not handle themselves. The International Criminal Court is a criminal court that tries individuals (people) for crimes of an international nature. The Lockerbie bombing would be an example of this. This court can try people who have criminal actions against a country or have violated an international law, like a human rights violation.
