I agree with much that has already been said. TKD kicks and karate kicks do have similiar aspects, but karate kicks tend to be less arcing and high than TKD kicks. Often Karate kicks are more direct attacks and will strike with the ball of the foot or the heel, wheras TKD kicks often strike using the toes, top of the foot or instep.
