Having compared many ab belts to one another there is really nothing different from each product. Expect for the name of course. Toning belts used a technology called Electric Muscle Stimulation (EMS). EMS is not a new technology. However many different makers of abdominal belts claim they have better results then the next guy. Is this true? The answer is no. Since these products are similar and designed in the same way the only real difference is how much you will pay. EMS is a simple way to activate muscle groups. In the case of an ab belt electric impulses are sent into your nerves which will cause the targeted muscles to contract or flex.
