The handbooks give general information for submitting HIPAA compliant invoices. Additionally, the PROMISe™ Companion Guides, which can be found at http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/omap/promise/omapPROMISe.asp give the specification for the creation of the electronic records. Submission of the electronic claims must be approved through the certification process. See http://www.dpw.state.pa.us/omap/promise/omappromisecert.asp.
