How Do You Adjust A Whirlpool Oven Thermostat?
Whirlpool manufactures in-wall ovens and freestanding ranges. Both rely on internal thermostats to gauge the oven temperature. If your oven seems to be hotter or cooler than the temperature display suggests, you may need to calibrate your thermostat. Press the “Oven Light” pad for 3 seconds. The display will show current calibration. Then the words “F Temp Offset” will appear. The calibration feature is activated. Or, on some models, press and hold the “Bake” pad for 3 seconds. The oven display will show current calibration and then read “0 F CAL” or just “00.” Depending on the model, press the “Temp,” “Temp/Time” or “Temp/Hour” pad. Press the up or down arrow pad(s) to decrease or increase the temperature. Adjust the temperature in 10-degree increments. You can make adjustments between 30 and -30 degrees F. Press “Start” to activate the changes.
