How Do You Adjust Belts On A Craftsman Snowblower?
Many types of models of Craftsman snowblowers exist on the market, and they typically contain similar parts. The wheel drive belts are within the snowblower and help to keep your snowblower mobile and running appropriately. The auger belt is another type of belt that is a part of the auger assembly, which collects snow and discharges it. If your snowblower appears to not be working properly you can replace or adjust these belts if they are old or have moved off of their track. Remove the spark plug wire and drain any gasoline from the tank before you replace or adjust the belts. Press the plastic tabs to release the belt cover from the engine. Place the snowblower face upwards so that it rests on the auger assembly. Remove the spring that connects the transmission to the bolt located on the frame of the engine. You can use your hands to do this. Remove the transmission pulley to loosen the pulley. You can now pull out that belt if you need to replace it by pulling it away from the unit
