One of the fun traditions at many a wedding is tossing the garter. The tradition predicts that whoever “catches” the garter will be the next male to be married. Here are a few tips on how to “aim” your garter toss so that it lands where you want it! Remove the garter from your wife. This is usually the beginning of the custom. The new bride sits in a chair in the middle of the dance floor while the husband playfully (and innocently) removes the garter belt off his wife’s leg signifying that later on they will consummate the marriage. Gather your single guests. Next the DJ will announce that all single men should join the groom on the dance floor.
