How Do You Align Xenon Headlights On A Saab 9-5?
The Xenon headlights on your Saab 9-5 can be adjusted using the vertical adjustment screw on the top of the headlight. You should adjust your headlights whenever you replace them. The headlights in your Saab 9-5 use a reflective backing on the headlight housing. This backing disperses the light onto the road at night, making it possible for you to see the road in front of you. If your headlights are misaligned, you may blind oncoming traffic, or not provide enough light to see far enough down the road so that you can drive safely. Park your Saab 9-5 facing 20 feet away from a wall. Shine the headlights onto the wall. Open the hood and adjust the top screw on the headlight assembly to move the headlight beam down until the beam sits at the bottom of the wall where the wall meets the ground. From 20 feet away, this will optimize the headlight beam pattern and give you good vision while driving at night without blinding oncoming vehicles.
