Mix one part masonry cement with one part Portland cement and eight parts medium sand in a large, disposable bucket. Add water until the mixture is thick enough to spread but not so watery it will run. Try to mix the bucket while pouring the water so you can have a good gauge on how much more water to add. Wet down the wall to which you are going to apply the stucco. The wall must be damp when you apply the stucco, so keeping a hose or water nearby is important.
