Being a modern bride and still having all the best of tradition is possible. You can have your cake and eat it too! Decide what traditions are important to you and your groom. Are there ethnic pieces you want included like knotted ribbons for Irish, wedding soup for Italian, group celebrations dances like the circle dance in Greek culture? Are there older traditions from family history you want included like the use of family vows, photo memorials, or a guest book passed down? Know early on what the focus of traditions are and list out all the possibilities. But don’t make any decisions yet.
