AmeriCorps*NCCC is a program that strengthens communities and develops leaders through team-based, national community service. As a leader of 10-12 Corps Members, your job is full time for 11 months and it may just be the toughest job you ever have. But it will probably be the most rewarding one. Be outgoing and step outside your comfort zone during Team Leader Training and Corps Training Institution. TLT will be the first month of your term of service and you will form lasting bonds with your fellow team leaders during this time. This is extremely important because there will be times during the year when you’re out on your own with your team and need to have the support of your fellow TLs. TLT will be a great time of friendship and bonding, but when the Corps Members arrive for their training, life will get very hectic. Be prepared, it’s quite the transition.
