Metrosexuality is, at it’s most basic, a manner in which a straight man displays the more feminine actions and concern for appearance commonly associated with the stereotypical “gay man.” • Prepare to defend your sexual orientation. Chances are, people will make assumptions that you like other men. • Become increasingly concerned about your physical appearance. Work out more, spend more time thinking about clothing and hairstyles. • Become in touch with your emotions. Metrosexual men generally don’t display the stoic, unemotional nature of the stereotypical heterosexual man. Become an “urbanite.” Focus on acting as a member of high society without being snooty. Eat at fancier, trendier (sometimes) restaurants, take interest in how your house/apartment/loft/condo looks, etc, etc.
