• Think about what’s right for you. Do you want to set aside time every day for spiritual contemplation, or just once a week? What time of day best suits your temperament? • Find a place where you can just sit and relax. It should be quiet and soothing in appearance without a lot of distractions. • If you want, listen to some music. It can be classical or new age, as long as it puts you in a reflective and open mood. • Now that you are in an open frame of mind, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Allow your jaw to relax, and release any tension from your body. • Let your thoughts wander toward your life. Not toward you as a person; rather your life-force, or the energy inside you. I think it’s possible for someone to be spiritual without being religious. I feel spirituality (spirit) existed before religion. The latter is man-made. Spirit is the womb within which ‘religion’ exists, not the other way round. Spirit can exist without religion because it is not religion. Religion is a human attempt to make sense of spirit (to make sense of ourselves). I though consider myself religious, I’m a Nominal Catholic I guess, cause I don’t really deep-dive into the faith, however, I do go to church on Sundays sometimes and read prayers on 21st century evangelization.

You are using two words with blurred meanings at once. What is spirituality? What is religion? There’s Confucianism. Is that a religion? Is there spirituality there? The concepts are different and spirituality is a human feeling and religion is not a feeling, but a human creation. So they are very different meanings and there is no need to confuse them. I’ve been studying university magazine and taking additional courses to understand the history of religion of another country. I don’t want to take sides, I’m just stating my opinion. Spirituality without religion is, firstly, the spirituality of a person who denies organized religions, his private, personal spirituality within the framework of some beliefs of a metaphysical nature. Or philosophical spirituality of a purely ethical nature
