Entering the 21st century was a dramatic change for everyone. Technology is more advanced now than it was 30 years ago and we are again fighting a war that causes an uneasy feeling across the world. Now is the time to up date your skills for the new survivalist. Step 1 Remember the survivalist of the 60’s and 70’s? Some of you will, but for most that was old school thought and you are right. But a lot of it will still be needed in an emergency. So first thing is to look back to what they had in mind. If you lived in a city you were to have a backpack ready to go and head for the mountain. If you were lucky enough to have a home in the country then the thought was to have a secret buried home somewhere further away from all possible attacks or civil wars. Today’s survivalist is much more updated and will have to look at invasion and attacks differently.
