How Do You Become A Real Estate Agent For HUD?

0

Licensed real estate agents go through a series of courses and exams to earn their agent or broker licenses in the states in which they reside. Fortunately, despite popular belief, agents who wish to sell Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) homes do not have to take any special course or exam. The process to become registered to sell real estate for HUD is simple. Visit the HUD website to learn about the homes, where to find listings and to gain an understanding of the special sales conditions surrounding HUD homes (see link in Resources). Visit the Management and Marketing Contractor’s page and find the link to the Broker Registration form for your state (see link in Resources). Print and complete the SAMS 1111 Broker Application and attach the pertinent documents (if necessary) (see link in Resources). Print and complete the SAMS 1111 Selling Broker Certification form (see link in Resources). Submit the two documents to HUD.
