How Do You Become A Wildlife Conservation Officer In Kentucky?
Kentucky wildlife conservation officers spend their days enforcing state and federal laws in regards to fishing, hunting and boating. Getting this job requires a combination of education and experience that will take several years to accumulate, in addition to the state of Kentucky hiring process, which will include an examination of your background. Attend a law-enforcement academy that results in certification by Kentucky. Academies are available at colleges and universities throughout the state and take six months to a year to complete. Obtain experience in law enforcement or with the conservation department. The minimum requirement for experience is four years. If you have experience with the conservation department or working with wildlife prior to your academy training, this will count toward the experience requirement.
