If you are looking for a new career you might want to consider becoming a taxi or cab driver. But first you should think about the following: do you like to drive and weather conditions doesn't bother you that much, do you like people, can you sit for hours in a car, do you have a clean driving record? If you answered yes to these questions than you might just be able to become a taxi or cab driver. The easiest way to become a cab or taxi driver is to apply for a job with a current company or service. Yet, you won't make as much as you would if you decide to become a self employed (independent contractor) taxi/cab driver. Step 1 See if there is a regulation on age. Some cities will only accept established drivers (over the age of 25). You should also be aware of the fact that some cities will also not allow people who owe back child support to become taxi or cab drivers.
