Need a career and fast? Try becoming an Optician as all you need is some fast training as an apprentice. Step 1 Some people believe that making money requires going to school, and there are others who really don't believe school is for them, however, they do believe that they need a career to make ends meet. Both are somewhat right, and there is a career in Opticianry that one can work their way up to while making money! Step 2 An Optician is an eyeglass specialist who is quite similar to a pharmacist except they fill a prescription for glasses and ensure its safety before a patient wears them. The first step towards becoming an Optician is to become certified nationally. Doing this requires passing the ABO examination, or American Board of Opticianry Exam.
