How Do You Become Noticed In School As A Rock Or Goth Kid?
At your typical middle school or high school, kids are labeling and categorizing others nonstop. There is not way to get away from it. But let’s say you’re the Goth kid……. • Dress appropriately for school We all know that a lot of Goths dress themselves up everyday, meaning they wear heavy makeup, style their hair to their likings, and squeeze themselves into fishnets. More appropriately, you can always opt for simple jeans, skirt or shorts with a band tee, tank or plain old shirt. Wear your boots if you prefer. • Keep your grades up! Studies have shown that Goths as teenagers typically get higher grades and can be smarter. A bad way to get noticed is for your poor grades. Why do so poorly if you get up evey morning and go there? Make the best of it! • Stick to what you believe in, what you like, etc. Don’t like something just because your friends like it. Or don’t do something you don’t want to do just because most Goths do it. Be yourself, and remember that you are there to learn
