It has been estimated that the vast majority of all email traffic consists of unsolicited and unwanted emails, commonly known as “spam.” If your email is provided by AOL, you can limit the amount of unwanted emails that you receive by blocking all messages received from specific addresses. Block an email address in AOL webmail by adding a filter in your spam settings. Browse to AOL.com and log into your webmail account. Click “Settings” on the top portion of the screen. Click “Spam Controls.” Click the menu next to “Spam Filters by Address,” and click “Custom.” Click the radio button labeled “Block mail from,” then enter an email address in the box immediately below it. Click the green plus sign icon to add the filter. Add as many email addresses as you like, clicking the plus sign after each one. Click “Save” to make your new filter settings permanent.
