How Do You Bonnet Clean A Carpet?
Bonnet cleaning is a low moisture, quick drying method of carpet cleaning. Perfect for high traffic areas that need to be cleaned and re-opened quickly. In most cases, carpets cleaned with bonnets are dry in about one hour (depending on carpet thickness, amount of cleaner used and humidity levels). Elegant Cleaning Services, based out of Nutley, New Jersey, allowed us to follow along during a residential bonnet cleaning job. Vacuum the carpet as thoroughly as possible. Bonnets will attract the ground in dirt and stains from a carpet, but dry particulates will remain if not vacuumed beforehand. Mix the bonnet cleaner concentrate as per the manufacturer’s specifications, then pour it into a pressure sprayer. Spray a small area of carpet with bonnet cleaning solution. Do not over-wet the carpet. Apply enough so the carpet is damp. If the bonnet is dry, spray it too, so it will glide over the carpet better.
