Gorgeous wineries and proximity to historic and beautiful Hearst Castle–it’s all in Paso Robles, CA. You could drive up to Paso Robles on US 101, but the traffic can be overwhelming and the Cuesta grade just north of San Luis Obispo is a dangerous stretch of road, especially at night.
