How Do You Build A Powerful Yu-Gi-Oh Deck?
In order to obtain victory in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Card Game, players must first create a deck that can stand up to their opponent. Building a Yu-Gi-Oh deck requires knowledge of the available cards as well as an understanding that attempting to win a duel on offense alone can quickly lead to defeat. Decks should be balanced and lean enough so only the best cards are drawn during a match. Choose a maximum of 40 cards to place in your deck. Having more than 40 cards will give you a lesser chance of drawing the powerful cards needed to win a duel. Include between 18 to 20 creatures in your deck. Only use four-star monsters or above when possible. Use creatures that have bonuses besides their attack power, such as Asura, which makes up for an attack of 1,700 by being able to attack all monsters at one time. Fill the deck with additional creatures that have bonuses outside of battle, such as Sangan, which allows players to search their deck for a replacement creature if it is defeated in battle.
