It takes very little to build a sand sculpture and if the project does not appear as planned, there is no difficulty in starting again. Collect your tools. You will need to have a shovel, a bucket and a spray bottle. You can also use any item from your kitchen as additional tools to build your sand sculpture. Look for the best sand. Sand that is too dry will cause your sculpture to crumble easily. To test the sand, squeeze a fistful of it then release and roll it on the ground. If the sand ball does not crumble then it will work well for your sculpture. Pick your location. Set up your sculpture site at a point that is uphill from the high tide line. You should be close enough to the water to get some easily but not near enough to have your sculpture washed away by the tide. Make your foundation. Your foundation has to be wet in order to form a strong base for your sculpture.
