How Do You Build A Swivel Piano Stool?
Benches are commonly used when playing a piano, but a bench limits a person’s mobility as far as being able to spin around and access other equipment or talk to other people. A small swivel piano stool eliminates this issue and allows for greater mobility. Building one is a fairly simple task, requiring only a few tools and materials. Cut 4 2-foot pieces from the 2-by-2s with a circular saw. Cut 8 7-inch pieces from the 2-by-2s. Cut a 10-inch square piece from the 3/4-inch plywood for the base of the seat. Cut out the round seat. To do this, start by drawing a 1-foot 4-inch square box on the plywood. Lightly tap a nail into the plywood and mark the center of the box. Tie one end of the string to the nail and extend it to the center of an edge of the box. Take a pencil and use the spot of your string exactly at the edge to draw a perfect 1-foot 4-inch-wide circle. Cut out the circle from the plywood with the keyhole saw. Sand all rough edges off the cut pieces. Apply wood stain or paint
