How Do You Build An HO Train Set?
Although some model railroaders choose to purchase all of their items separately, it may be easier to simply buy a prepackaged, ready-to-run model railroad layout. Although this type of train set is often of lower quality than a collection of individual items, it is much faster and easier than building a layout from scratch. HO trains sets are sized larger for younger train enthusiasts. Open the box to your train set and take out each piece of the set to make sure that nothing is missing or broken. Check the wheels on all of the cars to make sure that there is no flash on the flanges that would interfere with their ability to roll. Assemble the track by sliding each piece together so that the metal rail joiners slide onto each rail, cupping the bottom and side of each rail. Make sure that the joiners don’t slide underneath it.
