How Do You Build An Outside Storage Bench?
You can probably think of a million reasons why an outdoor storage bench would be useful. Consider all the outside items you use only occasionally or want hidden when not in use and you will soon realize that an outside storage bench is a very convenient outdoor furniture piece that can be placed in a yard, garden or on a deck. Measure and cut the deck plank pieces into six pieces measuring 4-feet long and six pieces measuring 12-inches long. These pieces will make up the front, back and two ends of the outside storage bench. To keep edges even, make all cuts with a miter saw and all measurements with a tape measure and straight edge. Assemble the bottom of the outside storage bench. Attach the four 2-inch thick by 2-inch wide by 14-inch long pieces to one of the 12-inch wide by 1 1/2-inch thick by 4-feet long boards.
