A binary (BIN) file is a file that doesn't have a set program to open it. This means it can be opened by a variety of different programs or used in a variety of different ways. If you have BIN files you want to transfer over to a different computer, you may want to place them onto a data CD. This gives other computers the ability to open the CD and access the BIN files you placed on it. Create a CUE file. You need to have a CUE file to accompany the BIN files; CUE files tell the computer how to run the BIN (data) files. If the place you got the BIN file from does not have an accompanying CUE file, the CUE commands can be created with Notepad. In a blank Notepad document, type: File "IMAGE.BIN" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2352 INDEX 01 00:00:00 Save the file (click "File" and then "Save") as the same name as the BIN file you are creating, except with the CUE as the extension.
