How do you care for a cyclamen plant?
Cyclamen is a flowering garden plant native to the Mediterranean, which produces a wide variety of flower colors. The most popular: white, purple, blue and red. Cyclamen grows best under cool and damp conditions, and tends to remain dormant during the hotter months of spring and summer. Caring for a cyclamen plant is usually easy under optimum conditions. Cyclamen will grow in most geographic locales, particularly in the northern hemisphere where the temperature remains cooler. Keep your cyclamen plant in cool and moist areas. Keeping a cyclamen plant indoors will not provide for an adequate atmosphere if the temperature is above 70 degrees F. Frequently spray or mist your cyclamen with water to keep it damp and cool while it’s blooming. Use a regular spay bottle and mist once a day. Water once a week, barely saturating the soil. Over-saturation will cause the cyclamen to die early. Fertilize your cyclamen with water-soluble fertilizer every three to four weeks, after one month from bl
