How Do You Care For An English Bulldog Pups From Birth?
English bulldog puppies require nutrition, warmth and the care of their mother at birth, but they must also learn about the world beyond the whelping box. As the breeder or owner, it is your responsibility gradually to accustom the puppies to being away from their mother and being handled by humans. Later you will be responsible for feeding, house training and socializing your bulldog puppy. Make a nest of clean, thick, soft blankets for the English bulldog mother and her litter. Set an electric heating pad on “Warm” and slide it under the blankets to keep mother and pups cozy. During the first two weeks visit the puppies daily. Lift each one out of the whelping box and help it to stand on the floor for 10 to 15 seconds. This will help the puppies become accustomed to the idea that there is a world away from it mother and siblings.
