How Do You Care For Red Eared Slider Eggs?
It’s too late to move the eggs without taking some care. First, sanitize a plastic bag. Line the bottom with sphagnum (peat moss) or sterile absorbent cotton. Either the sphagnum or the cotton should be moist but not wet. Soak it and then wring out all the water you can. Dig the eggs up carefully and slowly. Before moving one, mark the top with a dot from a felt-tip pen. This dot must remain on top at all times. Transfer all the eggs to the bag. If necessary, add another layer of moist substrate. Top the last layer of eggs with another layer of moist substrate. Seal the bag and place it where the temperature will remain fairly constant. The top of your refrigerator is usually the best place in most houses. Then, you have to be patient for a couple of months.
